If you are a teacher and your students are having difficulty with receiving their log in emails, we recommend following these steps:
Confirm with your students they have registered for an account
- Ask your students to add no-reply@auth.investopedia.com to their contact list
- Ask your students to check their spam folder for an email with the title "Access your account"
- Ask your students to double check that they've created an account on investopedia.com/simulator. They will not receive a log in code via email if they have not yet registered. If they are not sure, ask them to email simsupport@investopedia.com
- Ask your students to double check whether the email they are submitting to the log in page matches the email they used to sign up for their account. This often happens if they have multiple emails or made a typo in their email during registration. If they are not sure, ask them to email simsupport@investopedia.com
Ask your school's IT team to help with troubleshooting
- If your students have already followed the steps above, then you can reach out to your school's IT team.
- Ask your school's IT team to whitelist all emails from @investopedia.com
- If they are unable to do that, please ask them to allow the emails no-reply@auth.investopedia.com, simsupport@investopedia.com, support@investopedia.com, and support@dotdashmdp.com (this is Investopedia's parent company's general support email address)
- If whitelisting @investopedia.com or adding those designated emails to your allowlist is still not working, we recommend following the step-by-step instructions from Google Workspace. Your school's IT team can create a ticket with the Google Workspace as well.
- If students are still not receiving their login emails or if your school isn't using Google Workspace, your school's IT team should reach out to simsupport@investopedia.com and CC the teacher who is having the issue in the classroom to stay in the loop. Please make sure to include any error codes if applicable.
