Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I log into Investopedia Academy and see my course dashboard?
Investopedia Academy will no longer be hosting and streaming the Academy courses. If you have purchased a course from us, please check your email for instructions on accessing course content going forward that we sent on June 28, 2024. If you have questions or concerns please email us at academysupport@investopedia.com.
I purchased a course, but I'm not sure if I received the email. What does it look like?
The subject line was "Important Update About Your Investopedia Academy Courses" and was sent on June 28, 2024. It should've looked similar to the message below. Please make sure to check your spam folder. If you didn't receive it for any reason, please email academysupport@investopedia.com.
How do I download my course content?
In the email with instructions that we sent out on June 28, 2024, you will see a "Download Now" link. Please click on it and enter the username and password for the specific course. Note: These are unique for each individual course.
The username and password isn't working. What do I do?
Each individual course (e.g. Personal Finance for Grads, Investing for Beginners, etc.) will have its own username and password to access the download links, which were provided in the email you received above. Please do not use your personal Academy username and password to access the downloads.
I'm seeing a blank white screen. What do I do next?
If you entering the username and password for each individual course as outlined in your email and you are seeing a blank white screen, this means the file is downloading. Please check the folder where your downloads are located to see if it's complete. It should be a .zip file.
I'm seeing a "Network Error" when attempting to download the course content. How do I download my course content?
We recommend attempting to download one course at a time. If you are still experiencing a network error, we recommend checking for any pending browser and software updates, then restarting your device to ensure the best download experience. If that still doesn’t work, please email academysupport@investopedia.com with any screenshots and steps you've attempted.
Which program should I use to open these files?
The instructional videos are the primary course content, which are MP4 files. Any other files are supplemental materials (for example, the vtt files are transcripts). You can load the files in your preferred program. Most devices have a default program (e.g. Quicktime Player for Macbook users).
